On their return to the Premier League, Leicester City ⚽️ fought Tottenham to a thrilling 1-1 draw, with Jamie Vardy reprising his old antics! 🎉 Many expected the 37-year-old striker to start on the bench, but Steve Cooper gave him the starting nod. Vardy's spectacular performance earned the Foxes a well-deserved point.

Tottenham held the early impetus and took the lead in the 29th minute through Pedro Porro, who headed in a superb cross from former Leicester midfielder James Maddison (🎯). Spurs' summer addition, Dominic Solanke, wasted crucial opportunities, allowing Leicester to remain in the game.

Leicester shown amazing resolve in the second half, refusing to give up 💪. They equalised shortly before the hour mark, as Vardy headed Abdul Fatawu's cross past Guglielmo Vicario, sending the King Power Stadium into a frenzy! 🏟️

As Vardy was replaced with little over ten minutes remaining, he couldn't resist insulting the traveling Spurs fans by reminding them of his Premier League championship 🏆 as they continue to wait for one. Vardy told Sky Sports 🎤, "Yeah, yeah." You take a few sticks during the game, but that's normal. "As long as they can take it when I return it, that's all that matters."

Vardy acknowledged that Leicester may have given Tottenham "too much respect" in the first half but hailed the team's second-half effort for swinging the tide in their favor 🔄. "We just had a little chat between ourselves at halftime," said the coach. "We started the second half on the front foot, getting after them, and that's what changed the momentum."

Vardy described the half-time mood in the dressing room as "very calm" and the team's concentration on not surrendering any more goals. "You always give yourself a good chance knowing that we're going to create chances ourselves," according to him. "We'll take the point and move on now."

Vardy is loving his comeback to the Premier League and hopes to continue playing for as long as he can 🕰️. "Do you know what? "I literally see age as a number," he added. "As long as I keep looking after myself and my legs still feel great, I'll carry on for as long as physically possible." 🚀
